3 Ways to create business ideas

3 Ways to create business ideas

Ideas are shit.

An idea is the general guide to your business. That is all it is. An idea.

Most people think that they have to think REALLY hard to create a million dollar idea that they failed to execute anything. I'm here to tell you that you don't need a million dollar idea to make a million dollars.

You can create a million dollars from a mediocre idea with beautiful execution.

So basically, ideas are shit.

Despite what I just said, you still need one to start anything so to make your life easier, here are a few ways to figure out an idea.

What are you doing for a living now?

Fastest and easiest way to figure out an idea is exactly what you are doing now. You go to work every day and do work for someone to make him rich. Can you do the same work except for yourself to make yourself rich?

A friend of a friend that I know since senior in High school, has been working for Mcdonalds for 5 years. My friend would always joke that he will be working at Mcdonalds for the rest of his life. By the time my friend finished college and found a good job, his friend was still working at Mcdonalds.

In a way he was looked down on, but as of this date, no one looks down on him anymore. He as of today owns 3 Mcdonalds and other franchises. He was working there to learn. Can you do this for yourself?

 Learn as much as possible

The more you know, the more you can connect the dots. Develop a habit of trying to understand everything. Begin to question everything.

I would advise to start listening to podcasts. There are a lot of podcasts on iTunes that talk about multiple subjects in business. Many of them are interviews with people who were in your position that create their own business. See what they did and see how you can replicate their success.

You can learn a lot in Youtube videos on DIY projects. See what people are doing and see if you can develop a system to monetize these projects.

Their could be projects on "how to repair a tv" or "how to create candles" etc. All the information is out there for you to grab.

Begin networking with different people. You would be surprised by what they can tell you as long as you ask the right questions.

My friend met someone that is a manager for a hotel. The hotel manager told him random things like how their hotel has a pile of iphones and Sam Sung Galaxys that is collecting dust because their clients lost them there. He says that no one ever claims them. After 60 days, the phone is officially theirs.

My friend saw this as an opportunity. If this hotel has that problem, then all hotels must have that problem! He then went to every hotel to discuss how he can buy these phones at a discounted price from them and then he would resell them.

The hotel makes money considering they don't do anything with the phones anyway. He made a very profitable business by reselling.

Say YES to everything

Have the habit of saying yes to almost everything. Obviously say no to drugs or anything that can land you in deep shit.

What I mean is when people ask if you can help them with something, go help. People ask you to go to a party... go.

By saying yes more often, you open yourself to a lot of different opportunities. You will begin to do things you normally wouldn't do and learn a lot more then you normally wouldn't learn.

Another friend of mine started his first business by doing this. His mother's friend's television wasn't working. She had no idea about how televisions work so she asked him for help.

When he looked at the television, he had no idea what was wrong with it either. Instead of giving up, he went online to look for common reasons why tvs don't work and found out that one of the most common reasons is because the capacitor blew up.

Then he went on Ebay and found the capacitor and bought it. It costed him $5 including shipping.

After he replaced the capacitor and surprisingly it worked!

This gave him a new outlook and began to buy broken televisions for $20 and fixing it for $5. Then he would sell those televisions for $200! That is $175 profit for 30 minutes of work!

Afterwards he started doing similar things with broken fridges, microwaves, and etc.

He started his first business by doing that. Because he decided to help someone solve a problem, he was able to get enlightened with new ideas.

Conclusion

There are opportunities everywhere around you. The only thing is if you are able to see them. Open your mind to learning with the thought to create a business, you will start seeing them.

The more you learn, the more opportunities are out there.

Hopefully this helped you in some way.
